Turin

The Royal Palace of Turin is characterized by sumptuous cycles of frescoes. The Daniel's Gallery, the Duke's Chamber were painted in the XVII century by D. Seiter. In the XVIII century C.F. Beaumont took care of the frescoes in the Battles Gallery, the Beaumont Gallery, the Queen's Work Room, the Royal Cabinet, the Chinese Cabinet; G.B. Crosato decorated the Queen's Apartment; Francesco De Mura worked for the Archives Apartment; Laurent Pécheux frescoed the vault of the Royal Library. These paintings are dedicated to mythological themes. The feast hall of the Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi is decorated with XVIII frescoes by Giuseppe and Domenico Valeriani on the theme of Diana's Stories. The Queen's apartment saw G.B Crosato at work.
