Genoa, Museum of the Treasury of the Cathedral of San Lorenzo: cross reliquary containing a relic of the Sacred Cross of Jesus, called "Of the Zechariahs", Byzantine goldsmith of the thirteenth century; gilded silver, pearls, emeralds, rubies, sapphires, garnets, agate, carnelian, and rock crystal. It was commissioned in the ninth century by Barda, brother of Teodolinda and Emperor of the East. He donated it to the Basilica of St. John the Evangelist in Ephesus. It was remade between 1260 and 1283 by Isaac, bishop of Ephesus. It was later recaptured by the Genoa family of Zachariahs, who donated it to the Cathedral.
